The 2014 line-up is completed... The Belgian Na Fir Bolg festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary in good company, that's for sure.
Na Fir Bolg is a folk music festival held annually on the first weekend of July in Vorselaar, Belgium. The festival started in 1995 and has grown from a single night to a three-day festival. It is now the biggest festival in Antwerp (more than 5,000 visitors every year). Na Fir Bolg is a non-profit festival, every year a good purpose is chosen to support.
Na Fir Bolg, which means The Round Men in Irish, was a Gaelic tribe.
This was mentioned by one of the crew of Na Fir Bolg in 1995.
Because of the fact that all persons who thought of organising the festival were a bit corpulent,
they called themselves The Round Men. Na Fir Bolg quickly became the name of the festival.
