Pancho Alvarez, the Galician musician par excellence, has revived in 1998 with an album the old traditions of blind fiddlers on Galician fairs. This album was voted by
FolkWorld as the best album of 1998. Pancho recorded it in the spirit of Florencio, a blind musician, who played music on fairs for his living.

James Keane launched his new album "Sweeter as the Years Roll By" at Chief O'Neill's Smithfield on Thursday 4th November 1999. FolkWorld's contributor Sean Laffey was there to report.
